I love Nebraska

During migration more than 1 million will have spent time at the big bend. Though they now form these massive flocks, it is only due to the amount of their ideal habitat being reduced. Ideally they would prefer to spread out all throughout the Platte, or whatever was there before

Sandhill cranes form pairs for life, and dance and throw sticks to reaffirm their bond

I think I'm noticing a trend. People REALLY like sandhill cranes. (Yay me too, I go back in like 2 weeks to see them again and can't wait)
