Having a debate with a friend- is it inauthentic to ask a stranger, who is a fellow alum, info about the company they work for if you disclose that you’re looking at a position there? Are they expecting a genuine connection after that? Would you reach out? Would you respond?

A piece of advice: Don't put a section on your website that says, "How we're different" or "Why you should work with us" if your answer is the same as everyone else's.

This summary makes me want to read Upstream, even if just for the examples listed.
