So sorry to hear this. Neil was one of the very best (and most respectful) folks on the Wiz beat. Hope you land on your feet, Neil.

An org that's been devoid of success for as long as the Wizards have should be celebrating that Neil has provided them w/ such dedicated coverage for as long as he has. Treating some1 who dedicated years of his personal time to promote this team the way they have is inexcusable

This is the latest in a line of serious public missteps from the org. This is a pretty tight community & whether you closely followed Neil's coverage or not, I hope you see this for what it is: them attempting to control narratives & silence perspectives counter to their own

I stand behind Neil 100% here. I’ve seen his dedication to cover the Wizards for the last decade up close and personal and am proud to call him a friend. Even more proud that he had the courage to speak out on being treated unfairly by the organization. This is the Wizards loss.

Shame on your organization Ted Leonsis. Yall need to fix this.
