Welp. My community is either evacuated or on alert and I'm getting married Sunday! Wish the timing was a bit better to be honest but it's too late to make any changes 😬

This is right near my dad and sister's home😩

Stressful night. I think my dad's home is still standing but it's really close 😩

Thanks to water bombers and cool weather and rain I think last night was much calmer for the fire🙌🏾

The interior is literally on fire. My entire family is evacuated from the White Rock Lake fire. My family and inlaws are being evacuated in Merritt due to that fire. My friends in West Kelowna are on alert from a new and very aggressive fire there now too 😩

The EOC is sending people home when the fire is still burning above their homes because they feel the fire is "safe" as it may have cooled off a little, meanwhile it has jumped fire guards at other times. My community is beyond stressed as they have been evacuated twice already.

Well as if I wasn't busy enough, I've been working full time, teaching a beginner language class on Sundays and taking university language classes 4 nights a week. 2 more finals and I'm done the semester! My grandma and grandpa would be so proud❤

Adding textbook author/contributor to my resume 🥰 so excited for this. Makes me feel productive while on mat leave 😌

I'm genuinely curious if our unions are considering advocating for increased wages.... The cost of living is getting pretty unreal if you don't come from wealth...

It’s finally here. 1. Understaff & underfund public healthcare. 2. Let the healthcare system fall apart, blame workers. 3. Introduce private healthcare to “fix” a manufactured disaster. This is disaster capitalism. Let’s organize & save healthcare.
