I have two thoughts on H Pylori from stomach biopsies

1) How did the original pioneers think wow these are bacteria as opposed to “shmutz”

2) Sometimes, when it’s bad enough, you can diagnose H Pylori on routine H&E ⬇️

Although benign, a subset of Serous Cystadenomas (SCAs) can grow & occlude the duct. In addition to VHL, these SCAs have mutations in TP53 & the hTERT promoter. Pic#3 in formalin to bring out their architecture.

2YOM with recurring seizures. Imaging shows large brain parenchymal mass-The surgeons say it appears 'extra axial'...attached to the falx but not infiltrating the brain.
This looks like embryonal tumour with abundant neuropil and rosettes (now ETMR) to me

Paraganglioma v. Neuroendocrine Tumor 🤔

Both express neuroendocrine markers (eg. INSM-1), and nested architecture (see picture👇)

However, paragangliomas are (generally):
Cytokeratin negative
GATA3 positive.

54/M with Epstein anomaly and severe TR found a 6cm mass in RV by follow-up MRI. Endomyocardial biopsy revealed a cardiac DLBCL, EBV-negative, C-Myc FISH negative. More common in the right atrium.
