Wonderful evening at the NAC gala last night. Jann Arden was fantastic with the NAC orchestra. The concert was dedicated to our outgoing chair, Adrian Burns with over $1 million raised for the Adrian Burns find for Women in the Arts!

Attended the Indigenous Veterans Day ceremony at the cenotaph in Vancouver today. Well attended by veterans and their families, politicians, military and first responders. I have tremendous admiration for those that have served and those who continue to serve

The Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards on the weekend recognized some of Canada’s giants of the arts community including KD Lang, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee and Molly Johnson. A wonderful evening of recognition

Honoured to represent the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia last evening to welcome riders who rode across Canada to raise funds and awareness for PTSD (#RollingBarrage). A 10,000 km journey for many of them. A great evening recognizing a wonderful accomplishment.

I don’t believe most Canadians truly understand the commitment made by our men and women in uniform. The sacrifice of time and effort, away from family and friends is significant. Most don’t do it for the money; they are true patriots who work to keep us safe. We salute you.

Honoured to be invited to march in the Lunar New Year Parade in Vancouver’s Chinatown. Wonderful to see many dignitaries out including Her Honour Lieutenant Governor Janet Austin. Great crowds despite the wet weather.

I am truly humbled and honoured to have been appointed Honorary Aide De Camp to Her Honour, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. In this unique position I will represent the Office of the Lieutenant Governor at events Her Honour is unable to attend.
