This month the Dundalk Fire Department responded to two separate structure fires caused by improper disposal of items in the garbage. As a reminder you should never put hot items in the garbage such as hot coals, embers or ashes, any smoking materials or batteries.

The Dundalk Fire Department would thank our mutual aid partners Grey Highlands Fire Department, Shelburne and District Fire Department, Clearview Fire and West Grey Fire and all other agencies for there assistance at a structure fire on June 6th.

The Township of Southgate has issued a complete Burn Ban effective immediately due to extreme dry conditions. This included camp fires and fireworks.

Effective immediately all municipalities in Dufferin County have implemented a burn ban. Due to the extremely dry conditions all burning is Prohibited.

Early morning wake up call to assist Dundalk Fire for a commercial structure fire, thankfully there were no injuries.

Crews responded to a structure fire this morning, house fully involved upon arrival. Homeowner was woken up by a smoke alarm and he was able to safely exit the home. Working smoke alarms save lives !! It's a simple as that. #savedbythebeep Office of the Fire Marshal
