In decades as a Fed watcher, I've never seen them backed into a corner like this. The pressure, while self-caused and deserving of no sympathy, is huge. The political establishment knows how desperately the Fed needs a cover or excuse right now. Spidey senses should be on max.

To justify an eventual pivot to dovish, the Fed (via the media) will push the narrative that jobs are more important than inflation. They've quietly believed this for years. But once the pretense is dropped, it will mark a scary point of no return re: inflation. Watch for this.
