Please consider signing this petition. For the first time in many years, I feel hopeful that changes will finally be made. Could HTs consider emailing this to their staff as EdTwitter only represents a small percentage.

This was an excellent interview and worth catching up with. I think that all of us in education are feeling some level of hope that major changes must now happen within Ofsted. Professor Walters spoke with such eloquence and wisdom. #RuthPerry#@Ofstednews

Good morning #edutwitter Mr G I’ve tried to retire 3 times now but find myself heading back into the classroom after half-term for 2 days a week in Y2. That’s definitely out of my comfort zone but my daughter teaches the other y2 class so it will be very special.

Yesterday Julia travelled up to Westminster to address the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ofsted and School Inspection. Once again, it is heartening to know that there are MPs who value our perspective on Ofsted. Here is Julia’s powerful speech, it was very well received:

Listening to Professor Julia Waters respond to Ofted’s new proposed system on Radio 4 renews my hope that there might yet be change. Sadly the response that inspections need to be more powerful and transparent seems to say it all. Powerful? Surely that is the wrong adjective?
