Members are angry & frustrated after facing over a decade of real-terms pay cuts. 5% is totally inadequate. If there is no improvement on pay we remain committed to balloting members in the autumn term for industrial action nasuwt.org.uk/article-listin… #betterdealforteachers

Our members have been clear in demanding that we reject the imposition of a below-inflation pay award. 5% is yet another pay cut for teachers which will cause even greater damage to the morale of the profession. Ministers need to step up or we will ballot next term.

Teachers have pulled out all the stops for their pupils and after a decade of real terms pay erosion, deserve for their hard work to be matched with a restorative above-inflation pay award. #AlevelResultsDay2022 #AlevelResults #betterdealforteachers

Our members are saying it’s time to stop the rot. Teachers cannot be expected to pay the price for this government’s economic incompetence. #betterdealforteachers theguardian.com/education/comm…

It has been a privilege to be here in the Isle of Man today to stand alongside our brave & determined members taking strike action for decent pay & working conditions. The decision to take strike action is not easy but our members have been left with no choice.

Our members have demanded a better deal on pay, workload and working hours. Ministers must now get back to the negotiating table to agree a deal that will command the support of our members or they will be responsible for industrial action in the autumn term.
