Why isn't Roger Taylor, the chair of Ofqual, on TV, Radio and in the papers, all round the clock answering the arguments as to why his algorithm is wrong? Why isn't he facing enraged 18 year olds and their teachers and parents? Is Ofqual a public body? Do we pay their wages?

This is Ziggy. He’s practicing saying hi to the other dogs in the neighborhood. Just moved here and would love to make a good first impression. 14/10

We need to understand the impact of opaque masks on deaf and HoH pupils and students. Their ability to socialise and to learn will be adversely affected. Transparent masks are essential. Investing in these and clip on mics will benefit many. BATOD National Deaf Children's Society Deaf Action

ppeclear.co.uk recent launch of transparent masks suitable for non healthcare settings. Schools, retail and any non health care would benefit from them. National Deaf Children's Society BATOD The Limping Chicken | Deaf Culture, News and Arts #accessibility #schoolsreopening

Clear masks are not for lip reading. Clear masks are for any mean of communication. If you ask deaf/HoH /deafened β€˜Can you lip read?’ DON’T. We cannot lipread readily as you might think. #accessibility for facial expressions are crucial to part of language. #clearmask

If you are treating deaf patients, ensure that their communication preferences are met. Transparent masks do not replace sign language interpreters! Keep booking them for deaf patients to enable them in full conversation of their health, either mental or physical. #accessibility

40% of deaf are affected by mental health issues, compared to 25% of hearing people. This was in 1994! #WorldMentalHealthDay #worldmentalhealthday2020

Being deaf is not a cause of mental health issues but struggles to function in a hearing world can lead to mental health issues (Steinbeg; 1998). Be kind and learn BSL #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealth #DeafMentalHealthMatters

Not only deaf people are facing barriers with masks but also are deprived of governmental briefings re CV-19 in BSL! Since March, we were not able to get a full access to updates in a language we understand! Please support #WhereIsTheInterpreter campaign @jerseysnail

Many of us are working remotely & this trend more likely will continue. Ask your deaf/hoh colleagues what & how to provide a communication access for them NOT TO BE EXCLUDED. WFH is hard enough but to feel excluded&lonely will affect their mental health #accessibility #BeKind

Lockdown has been tough for many of us. Did u feel isolated, cut out of world, unable to reach others, frustrated, anxious, sad, angry?Yes? Deaf people feel like this every day, whether it’s lockdown or not ... food 4 thought of the day #CovidUK #anxiety #accessibility #BeKind

It’s been a year since UK went into national lockdown. Many lives were lost and many people dedicated themselves to support others ... remember them. Wear a mask and keep going on! #DayOfReflection #BeKind
