Today, we had an opening event for our AlgaTech facilities in Ruissalo Botanical Garden. Opening words by Yagut Allahverdiyeva-Rinne and projects introduction by semasirin. Thanks for the great organisation and good time spent networking with collaborators and colleagues. #algae REALM algae
Job alert!📢 We're looking for a motivated doctoral researcher with a background in data-driven systems and artificial intelligence to join Photosynthetic Microbes and develop AI-assisted photosynthetic devices for solar fuel and chemical production. Turun yliopisto - University of Turku shorturl.at/fuwDW
Meet Pulmu, who is a co-supervised PhD student in the Photo-e-mat project founded by Suomen Akatemia | Research Council of Finland . She mainly works in the Materials chemistry research group - UTU to study #sustainable anode materials for #biophotovoltaic applications. With us, she's learning more about #photosynthesis and #cyanobacteria.
TODAY at 12:00 in Presidentti, BioCity! Frontiers of Science talk by Prof. Shelley Minteer Minteer Lab from the University of Utah. Prof. Minteer will tell us about enzymes as electrocatalysts. ☕️+🥪 at 11:45, welcome! Photosynthetic Microbes Åbo Akademi University Turun yliopisto - University of Turku
We had an inspiring talk from Prof. Shelley Minteer at the Frontiers of Science seminar BioCity Turku covering diverse topics from bioelectrochemical N2 fixation by cyano to NH3 producing H2/N2 fuel cells. Congrats on your election to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences!@MinteerLab
📆#EVENT we organize the event "Harnessing Renewables for a Sustainable Future" in collaboration with the European Innovation Council, imec, EuroTech Universities Alliance and the EU projects CATART Project, CONDOR and FlowPhotoChem.eu. 📆 4-5 June 2024 📍 Genk, Belgium 🔗 Register here sunergy-initiative.eu/event/harnessi…
📢New new paper from the Photosynthetic Microbes group! Michal Hubáček shows that a robust heterologous electron sink can outcompete cyclic electron transport and the FLV-dependent pathway. This is important for the rational engineering of cells for bioproduction.
This is the big one!🤩 Opening for an awesome group leader to join our community on the 5th/6th floor of the Biozentrum, University of Basel. We're looking for someone who brings an exiting biological program using a combo of structural biology, cellular imaging, and biophysics. 📢Retweet please!
Excited to be part of The Plant Cell perspective article on 'Lighting the Way: Compelling Open Questions in Photosynthesis.' Flavodiiron proteins are a major focus in my lab Photosynthetic Microbes & there's still much to uncover about their role in photosynthesis. t.ly/AkGcy
send CV and join us Photosynthetic Microbes as a postdoc to study photosynthesis and exoelectrogensis in biophotovoltaics.
