Gutted about this! Stuart was my PhD and postdoc mentor. I spent 10 years in his lab, and much of what I am today as a scientist is because of the environment that he created. He will be sorely missed!

I'm very happy of having successfully defended my PhD thesis on the electron-bifurcating [FeFe]-hydrogenase Hyd last Friday! Even with one jury-member via Zoom the discussions highlighted in my eyes the need for further investigations on proton-coupled electron transfer.

How creative my collegues at the #BIP laboratory have been this year with the Christmas decorations is really impressive. Some relaxing Christmas holidays everyone! See you next year!

Only a couple hours until the beginning of this years #Gordon Research Seminar on #Bioenergetics in New Hampshire. Taking a last look at my presentation for Sunday, while feeling like arriving in the US with some PB&J on a bagel..

Had a great time meeting the people behind MOSBRI ,one of the biggest #biophysics communities in the world. Many interesting talks mostly centered around characterizations of #protein structure, affinities, #disorder and composition and new techniques! Learned a lot!

Also very proud of giulia.pesce my collegues from the #AFMB in Marseille, presenting her PhD work on intrincally disordered NIPA-virus proteins!

Having had a great time for my first 'invited talk' at the #MOSBRI conference in Zaragoza. Thanks to everybody for the helpful comments and potential new leads on this project.
