Shocking response from Boris Johnson to my PMQ on a cladding victim who he said had a "frankly unnecessary sense of anxiety"– putting the market before their misery. The PM must fix fire safety problems at no cost to leaseholders, not dismiss them UK Cladding Action Group Sheffield Cladding Action Group End Our Cladding Scandal

This afternoon, I asked the new Housing Secretary a series of questions about the Building Safety Crisis. He promised me “rapid action” to deal with the issues and ensure those responsible are held accountable. He must now make good on these words. #EndOurCladdingScandal

I’m never going to forgive/forget the govt dragging me into this mess even if they do a u-turn. In the two years I’ve been trapped the housing market has moved on & we can no longer afford a bigger home. We can’t afford to buy a house or rent privately in the area we live…

Good to see the prospect of the government adding £4bn to remove cladding on buildings below 18m. Doesn't meet non-cladding defects however & not clear how they'll raise it from developers. Needs the #PolluterPays approach to raise funds to go beyond cladding.

📢 We will be meeting Michael Gove on Monday morning & will hear what he has to say This may be a step in the right direction, but the devil's in the detail Leaseholders need protection in law + more urgent action on the ground 👇 #EndOurCladdingScandal theguardian.com/society/2022/j…

Grenfell was an appalling tragedy. Four and a half years on thousands of people are still stuck in unsafe homes and have been forced to cover the cost of inaction. Tomorrow the SoS must fix this, in full. They have waited long enough. thetimes.co.uk/article/buildi…
