Glad Sioux Falls was a stop on the #CARRTRIP Thanks Brendan Carr ,appreciate the effort to see/feel real challenges that come w/ maintaining broadband across streets, hills, corn fields. Rural networks 2 feet below or 200 feet up, all come w/ challenges. Thx 4 experiencing it x.com/brendancarrfcc…
In CO 2day. Thanks will it return?. Watch #NFL on local CBS. Locast extends local 📺 past broadcast tower limits reaching more ppl. Rural/urban people, broadcasters...especially advertisers should b excited. Per FCC / DTV map only 1 local 📺 @ my location, Bc will it return? more options
Just went thru National WWII Museum in NOLA while listening to a radio interview my late Grandpa gave about his (and other MN based Guard units)service at the time. Special to see the museum and listen to grandpa talk about his time at war. Thanks Gpa Hub, WWII museum and all vets!
Good article on importance of rural broadband. Glad to see The New York Times article. Lots of work, resources (county, state, etc) went into Rock Co. project. The Wonderful team @ Alliance Comm take pride in the network they build/support on a daily basis. Thanks Christopher!
Yes...welcome to South Dakota! Glad to see will it return? offering services to urban and rural markets alike. Filling in the broadcast holes/gaps where even 30 foot high amplified OTA antennas won’t work for all people and/or all channels.
Happy to have Shirley Bloomfield from NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association in South Dakota talking to us about what going on (or not) in DC right now. Great to learn about NTCA programs like CyberShare, Smart Rural Communities too. Lots going on and SDTA and NTCA are helping us stay on top of it.
Some say we can’t afford to bring #broadband to rural America. I say we can’t afford not to. Thanks to @SecretarySonny & Dept. of Agriculture for hosting today’s event! Look forward to working w/ you, Farm Foundation, NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association, NRECA, CoBank, many others to close the #digitaldivide.
This promoted tweet is showing up in my feed. NAB's "free" claim is ludicrous. TV broadcasters will collect more than $8B (yes BILLION) of retransmission consent fees from consumers this year and more than $12B in 2020. Rural areas can't receive their "free" signal. #ripoff x.com/nabtweets/stat…
