Importance of ctDNA. In neoadjuvant study, no benefit from PDL1i in ctDNA- but in + there was benefit. Also, Pts who were positive but cleared did as well as negative.

Latest work in Nature Immunology. Using a systematic computational and biological approach we identify IFN-I as a major driver of coinhibitory receptor regulation in human T cells. Fantastic collaboration with Asaf Madi, Hafler Lab Yale School of Medicine Tomokazu Sumida! rdcu.be/cJctS

So excited to see FDA approval of the first anti-LAG3, in combination with anti-PD1! It has been a long road but we have had the pleasure of working with an amazing team of trainees and collaborators dissecting LAG3 function since ~2020 (20+ papers)! 1/2 news.bms.com/news/details/2…

A key paper was the first demonstration in mouse cancer models of synergistic activity with the combination of anti-PD1 & anti-LAG3, in collaboration with our colleagues at Hopkins (Chuck Drake/Drew Pardoll) & BMS (Alan Korman/Mark Selby), plus others! 2/2 pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22186141/

Why are certain mutations so prevalent in some but not other cancers? A clue: They need to cooperate with lineage-specific transcription factors to activate an oncogenic programme. Really beautiful paper out in nature by Sakari Vanharanta and his team. Btw, he's hiring University of Helsinki!
