Dear Alex, 4 years and £2m on, we are no closer to our flammable buildings being brought up to standard. Instead our developer Vistry is rewarded with lucrative govt contracts. Pls restore our faith. BW Dom Alex Norris MP Vikki Slade MP 🔶💙 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Matthew Pennycook MP bit.ly/4g7m5qK

AJ (£) “BDP has launched legal action against insulation manufacturer Kingspan, saying it may be liable for the cost of recladding a building in Lancashire due to its ‘dishonest’ statements about its K15 Insulation product.” Good story. architectsjournal.co.uk/news/bdp-launc…

Worth taking a minute to reflect on the fact that Starmer, former director of public prosecution, personally launched a central govt investigation which risked prejudicing one of the largest and most expensive police investigations in UK history. Smooth.

It says the measures will “benefit millionaires, non-doms and investors while 10,000 young people face losing support”. What a ridiculous spin! If LAFRA2024 valuation factors are right it will benefit leaseholders - that's the whole point. NLC - KATIE KENDRICK OBE - LEASEHOLD CAMPAIGNER leaseholdknowledge.com/freehold-ownin…

Government's latest cladding announcement appears to have two new bits. A deadline of 2031 for medium rise blocks and a power for the state to step in and do the work if building owners fail to without "reasonable excuse"

⚖️ "The ruling could have far-reaching implications for who bears the costs of building safety-related costs in the future, with judges ruling that parts of the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) can be applied retrospectively, favouring leaseholders and residents." 👇

Yesterday I spoke neighbours who are L&Q tenants on a Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan scheme called 'intermediate rent'. I found out that L&Q has *never* serviced their hot water cylinder or mechanical extract ventilation system. Why are these organisations trusted to manage homes?

How many more stories like this do we have to read?!! The Government are simply not doing enough to help innocent l/holders. Alex Norris MP you have gone very quiet on all of this. Have we been abandoned?

Dan Bruce (@dannybster) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Liverpool Cladiators Alex Norris MP There's no end in sight as the government lacks the will and the way. The reality is that the sector should have been forced to carry all costs, including increased insurance, mortgages, loss of value, etc. People should have essentially just got on with their lives.

Liverpool Cladiators (@lcladiators) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Dan Bruce Alex Norris MP Totally agree with everything you say Dan Bruce We should be compensated for everything we have paid for. Insane insurance premiums, waking watch, alarms etc We know that will never happen. The big guys lobby the Government, we have no such power.

Liverpool Cladiators Alex Norris MP 💯 I'm willing to bet if I'd donated our legal fees to the government (circa £500k) instead of fighting back, I'd have had my problem solved by now.
