Great to see such a strong demonstration of cross party support from Members UK House of Commons for recognition of Palestine as a state. This is an important step in securing a two-state solution & responding to the legitimate aspirations of Palestinians.

Recognition of the state of Palestine should not be used as a bargaining chip. It should have happened months ago. We also need far greater action to stop the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, including fully ceasing arms sales and implementing sanctions against the Israeli cabinet.

That’s how it’s done. 🙌 No weird conditions. Just simple affirmation that 5 million Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza have a right to dignity, self-determination and protection from theft and inhumane persecution.
