Happy Moon Landing Day Even though it’s not true, I love this story about what Neil Armstrong was rumoured to have uttered as he made his small step/giant leap. Also love the Sleeper song written by Louise Wener snopes.com/fact-check/goo…
This morning’s porridge tasted particularly sweet knowing that Jon Richardson agrees that putting the bowl in to soak is the right thing to do.
Fabulous tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton on BBC North West this evening. It’s available on the iPlayer until tomorrow - watch it here: bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod… Great job, Roger Johnson
Love the bold, black frames, Tim Lovejoy but I get the feeling you’re not a fan of glasses - have you ever tried multifocal contact lenses? #gamechanger
We had our Lions Clubs British Isles bin emptied yesterday - of the 2481 pairs of glasses donated locally last year, 734 were from our Rawtenstall practice and another 491 pairs were donated in Haslingden. Thank you to everyone who has helped us to help this great cause. #recycling

Just listening back to yesterday’s Mystery Hour with James O'Brien and an interesting question about being a millionaire in different currencies came up, and it reminded me of Kirsty MacColls’s fabulous lyric, “Just give me 50,000 Lira for my thoughts”.
Currently sat in Harvester Restaurant near IWM North listening to Mum telling me #VEDay80 stories. Wish BBC North West were here to record this.
