In testimony to PA Senate today, SEPTA GM Richards says without state funding, SEPTA will have to cut service at least 20% and increase fares at least 30% beginning in JANUARY … triggering a “death spiral” that would be difficult to reverse. Transit Forward Philadelphia Transit for All PA!

Former President Trump had 44 cabinet secretaries. 40 of them don’t support his 2024 campaign. Neither does his Vice President nor any of his former chiefs of staff.

Call Governor Josh Shapiro and read this quote to his office on the phone. Thinking some splashy headlines without actually delivering for constituents is a way to advance in politics is DeSantis behavior.

This is what Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) would look like on Roosevelt Boulevard. Don’t let anyone, not even PA Department of Transportation, tell you this is good enough for Philly. Why should Philly settle for a BRT line if NYC, Chicago, and the Bay Area got federal dollars for subway expansions?

You can't jeopardize this progress. If senate Republicans are unwilling to do the right thing it is time for the Governor to consider finding a few sticks.

There's no other option now. Gov Shapiro must flex federal highway funding to transit to give septa the breathing room it needs to avoid cuts and too steep fare increases. If the new general assembly still refuses to fund transit, then this will become a regular occurrence.

.Rep. Ben Waxman warned that failing to increase state funding for public transit could drastically impact residents and businesses across the state. cityandstatepa.com/policy/2024/10… via City & State PA

With SEPTA on the verge of a "doomsday" budget, we need the PA Senate Republicans to reconvene and secure the funding our transit systems need. Service cuts will hurt our economy and our people! cityandstatepa.com/policy/2024/10…

New op-ed from me and Alex Armlovich in the The Philadelphia Inquirer this morning explaining how Governor Josh Shapiro can still deliver some critical transit funding on his own, even though legislative talks fell through inquirer.com/opinion/commen…

2 session days left and still no action on transit funding. Thousands rely on SEPTA every day. PA Senate Republicans where’s the plan? cityandstatepa.com/policy/2024/10…

The right to vote has not always been available to every American. Those demanding the right to vote were sometimes arrested, imprisoned, and even tortured. Don't take your right to vote for granted.
