Thoroughly enjoyed moderating a conversation last week with @Alex_Armlovich Salim Furth and National Apartment Association's Jason Lynn on the importance of removing government barriers to a more robust housing stock. It's time to unravel the red tape holding back options for families. Niskanen Center

To put in context the 109,000 homes forecasted over 15 years:

-It's ~20% of NYC's housing need (solid start, but just a start)

-12x larger than Gowanus rezoning

-30x larger than Soho/Noho rezoning

-Only 60% of the 183,000 homes Houston permitted the last 15 years
