I just heard a doctor say something on MSNBC that really caught my attention. She said one person dies from COVID every 48 seconds in this country. She also said we must stop coddling the unvaccinated -- those who have tantrums at city council & school board meetings. I agree.

Pre-Roe, I was 8 yrs old. I came home from school to find my Mom lying in a puddle of blood. She was weak & asked me to call a neighbor. She was miscarrying, but the embryo would not abort. For 48 hours, she bled while doctors transfused blood, waiting. Abortions were illegal.

I am mentally ill and yet I have never had the desire to target an entire group of people and massacre them. Racism is not a mental illness. It is a choice of hatred and violence. Do not further demonize and stigmatize mental health in order to avoid the dealing with racists.

Our bodies are not designed to absorb and process this much violence, loss, and grief.

Pediatrician here. I want people to know that death by firearm is not rare in kids. In fact, it has been the #1 cause death in this age group since 2020. In 2020 alone, 4300 children died from firearms. That’s equivalent to one Boeing 747 plane crash every month for 9 months.
