In the last four days, I've had two people come to my door and two phone calls from people wanting to give me free roof estimates. 🙃

Northern cardinals are not common in my area at all. A couple of years ago, I saw my first one here. This morning, there are two calling back and forth to each other. I caught a glimpse of the male. Just beautiful.

I have to keep reminding myself that for every viral, ridiculous, embarrassing thing Christian churches do, there are at least 10 tiny, almost invisible churches out there bringing meals to new moms, holding hands with people who are dying, making an impact in their community.

This morning, I went to check on a relative, and on the way there, I saw a woman walking three dogs. A cat was walking behind her. I said hello to her and she told me the cat was hers. “The cat wanted to take a walk too.”

The cat’s name is Squirrel. We made friends :)

At the height of Covid restrictions, we forgot to water this plant at the church for…8+ months. I completely forgot it was there. It dwindled down to two leaves and was clinging to life.

Seeing it put forth a new plant baby felt hopeful in a way I needed today.

I made naan for the first time tonight. So fun 💕
