8/21: In the early evening hours, a California man was arrested for attempting to smuggle three Mexican Nationals through the Immigration Checkpoint on State Route 90 near Huachuca City, AZ. The driver faces federal charges, and the migrants have been removed to Mexico

USBP agents arrested migrants that illegally entered the US near Douglas, AZ. A Mexican national in the group is a sex offender. Jorge Victor Zacahua-Toxtle was convicted in #GA for sexual battery against a child under 16. He faces prosecution for re-entry of an aggravated felon.

Tucson BORSTAR paramedics achieved certification in flood/swift water rescue operations with Dept. of Public Safety. This advanced training enhances their capabilities with helicopter hoisting, ensuring the aircrews capability to perform rescue operations in a wide variety of situations

Several Ajo Station agents participated in a memorial run to honor National Park Ranger Kris Eggle, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty in 2002 at the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. We remember and honor his service and sacrifice.

MRT agents and a #K9Team were deployed from an aircraft patrolling the border, assisting with several arrests of smuggled migrants evading detection in remote and rugged areas. MRT agents provide excellent support for our boots on the ground!

8/21: Alfonso Marcelo-Hernandez was arrested by agents while he attempted to evade apprehension by walking around the I-19 checkpoint near Amado, AZ. Records checks revealed the Mexican national was convicted in 2007 of Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child in #SalinasCalifornia.

Brian A. Terry Station agents apprehended a convicted Paisas gang member after he illegally crossed the border near Bisbee, AZ. Efrain Rivas-Garcia, a Mexican national, has felony convictions including dangerous drug possession and illegal re-entry. He faces federal prosecution.

8/25: Tucson Station agents working the SR-286 Immigration Checkpoint encountered a human smuggling event. Agents arrested the driver for smuggling 4 migrants. A loaded pistol was discovered within the driver’s reach.

Near Bisbee, AZ, agents attempted to stop a vehicle suspected of picking up smuggled migrants, but the driver fled. After reaching a dead end, several subjects fled into the desert. With @cbpamo assistance, agents arrested the SUV’s occupants, all illegally present in the U.S.

An off-duty USBP agent heroically saved a 10 y/o boy struck by a vehicle in Casa Grande, AZ. The agent extracted the boy, performed life-saving measures, and stabilized him until EMS arrived. Thanks to his quick actions, the boy survived and is recovering. Exemplary service!

8/29: Douglas and Willcox Station agents assisted Cochise County Sheriff’s Deputies with apprehending two smuggled migrants that ran from a cc_sheriff traffic stop southeast of #Tombstone, AZ. Our hard-working #K9 enjoys her toy after another successful tracking operation.

8/30: USBP agents in Tucson attempted to stop a vehicle, when the driver and 9 occupants exited the vehicle while still in motion, leaving 5 migrants inside the truck bed. With assistance from MRT, HPU, and Motorcycles, the 14 migrants were arrested and face removal proceedings.

Tucson Sector #MRT agents near Arivaca, AZ, recently encountered a group of smuggled migrants who illegally entered the U.S. Agents provided medical care to those in the group suffering from dehydration, demonstrating our commitment to humanitarian efforts.
