On March 21, 2000, Officer Brett Buckmister (#5548) died from injuries sustained in a traffic collision in Page, AZ. His patrol car & a van collided during wintry weather on US-89 SB, ultimately taking the lives of Officer Buckmister & three people in the van. #WeWillNeverForget

AZDPS sends our deepest condolences to our colleagues at the New Mexico State Police following the line of duty death of Officer Justin Hare. Officer Hare was shot and killed on I-40 near Tucumcari on Friday. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues.

This driver’s road trip ended with a detour to jail after he was arrested for driving 128 mph in a 65-mph zone on US 89 last week. He faces a charge of criminal speed, with possible penalties of up to $500 in fines

👏Congratulations to Trooper Robert Coker, who was recognized as “Trooper of the Year” by Prescott Valley Elks Lodge on March 5! He was selected because of his dedication to public safety, particularly his efforts in detecting & removing impaired drivers from Arizona's roadways.

AZDPS personnel are working together to give back to the #community ! 🤝 On March 7, nine staff members from our Wireless Systems Bureau helped prepare over 1,300 emergency food boxes for those in need at St. Mary's Food Bank in Phoenix. #CourteousVigilance
