There's not much joy in getting my winter tyres switched for summer ones.....so while the very excellent Ladybank Tyres do their stuff, I console myself with a walk around South Annsmuir. Aye it's plantation, but it's always beautiful. Was certainly beautiful today! 🙂

A fine morning yesterday for our black grouse lek count and great to record an increase in our number of lekking males. This was due to an increase of some of our known leks but also the recent discovery of two new lek sites. Hopefully this upturn occurs elsewhere too.

It didn't last long, but after 8 inches fell overnight on 28th/29th April, there was still snow in the Lomonds in May. #Fife

Narrowly missed out on an air frost in the Lomonds this morning, again. Got down to 0.1C, as it did on the 5th too.....so still no air frost this month, which is unusual for April. And with just one week of April left, the month is currently 0.1C below my long term average. #Fife
