Why grade seperated light rail is superior to street running trams, or buses Build #lightrail stage two to Woden nowπŸšŠπŸ‘

D.C. Haas (@dch_cbr) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I'd really like to know how much the lightrail alternative Woden to Civic bus only solution that the Canberra Liberals are proposing would costπŸ€” They seek to kill Light Rail Stage Two B - but wont come clean on the alternative🀑

Opposes densification and light rail - but will weasel word her opposition into appearing to be reasonable - to those that are unfamiliar with her tactics. Do not vote for this anti light rail NIMBY 🀑

Fiona Carrick wont give a straight answer. Light Rail Stage 2B is the only mass public transport infrastructure plan underway for Woden & South Canberra. She wont support it, despite a clear question. Weasel words are not a policy of support. #CBR #lightrail

This is very valuable information πŸ‘ People who support extending light rail should be careful where they place their votes on the ballot paper 🚊 Weasel words and obfuscation do not go unnoticed by sensible voters - Vote for light rail to Woden 🚊😎

Another anti light rail and anti-compact city NIMBY running for the Legislative Assembly. Do not vote for this 'independent' unless you want to see NIMBYism entrenched in the Assembly. Canberra deserves a progressive forward looking set of elected representatives. πŸ˜ŽπŸšŠπŸ‘

Opening up the light rail at Parliament before completing the construction of the line to Woden is an excellent idea, and will provide an excellent public transport alternative to the private car, for the ten thousand people that work in this part of Canberra πŸšŠπŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Fiona Carrick says she couldn't say whether she'd vote to scrap LR now because she needs more information. But allowing the prep work to continue will give the extra info she says she needs. It's now clear what camp she sits in on LR to Woden. the-riotact.com/act-election-c…

It's a shame the Canberra Liberals didn't submit any of their public transport proposals for costing. Their Woden busway, local manufacturing and electric bus purchases are all big ticket items. It would be good for voters to know what they cost. abc.net.au/news/2024-10-1…

We know that light rail is popular in Canberra. I therefore find it striking that so many political candidates have trouble supporting it - especially when many claim to be more in touch with the community than incumbent electeds.

How it began. How it ended. Congratulations to Andrew Barr, ACT Labor and the ACT Greens. Another victory for light rail πŸšŠπŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

At least one Canberra Liberal candidate understands how damaging their anti public transport infrastructure policies are. Canberrans love using light rail and want it extended to Woden πŸšŠπŸ‘

This ride quality from a new Brisbane electric bus, is the future the Canberra Liberals think is better than the light rail we have operating between Gungahlin and Civic 😡 Our CAF Urbos 3 LRV's ride as smooth as a ball on a pool table Build Light Rail Stage Two to Woden now πŸšŠπŸ‘

Excellent take on the next four years of public transport based on the new ACT Legislative Assembly 🚊 Build #CBR #lightrail stage two now πŸ˜ŽπŸšŠπŸ‘

Battery powered Light Rail Vehicles entered the Canberra Metro fleet today with CAF Urbos 3 LRV 017🚊 Roof mounted batteries satisfy a NCA requirement for Light Rail Stage 2 in the Parliamentary Zone, where no overhead wires are permitted (on spurious heritage grounds).
