I always find it amazing that this is the correct way to wire up a simple one-switch-one-bulb room light here in the UK. The installer UX is just terrible. Fortunately if you get it even slightly wrong then it goes bang straight away so at least the feedback loop is tight.

In hindsight it was a bit of a waste of effort to get everyone to agree that all shower hoses have a ½" thread and a taper to hold the head on the wall without also agreeing on the dimensions of the damn taper.
