Startups are really hard for every founder and just having a positive perspective can make all the difference. You can either stress out over every problem and challenge or view every opportunity as a chance to improve. I strongly recommend the latter.

Save customers time and you’ll do well. Save customers money and you’ll do well. Do both and you probably have a really large startup on your hands.

As you advance in your career, your direct managers will be increasingly busy people. In a high growth company, your manager might even be an absentee manager because s/he is focused on other existential priorities for the company. Important to learn to operate well despite this.

Building a startup is hard. Takes more time than most expect. Takes more learning than most expect. Takes more failing than most expect. Takes more grit than most expect. Takes more optimism than most expect. Just keep building and please keep going.

Your job as CEO of a startup is to accept that every single problem at your company is entirely your fault and also your job to fix.
