Very disappointed to see Progressives for Harris registration go up for tonight with zero accommodations for disabled progressives, and little representation. Disability is key to every social justice issue. Why leave power on the table?

In closing, the CDC knows masks work, admits that N95s and KN95s are most effective (but uses photo of surgical masks which are not), yet does not recommend the use of masks in its public (ie social media, most likely to reach public) messaging , even in a huge COVID surge. /end

"I can count on one hand the number of people I have hugged" since 2020. "I don't feel safe going to the doctor office, which is kind of ironic." Please watch this powerful video highlighting the pandemic's ongoing impact on disabled people. youtu.be/X0h0-gOv5rc?si…

Today marks the first ever #DisabledWomensEqualPayDay. For every $1 paid to nondisabled men, disabled women working full time, part time, or part year bring home just 50 cents. This pay gap is rooted in ableism and must end. Join us in the fight for #DisabledWomensEPD

In light of that trash take on disabled students and accommodations in The Chronical, here's some actual data from disability orgs to balance out the cherry picked references in that piece. It's RARE for students with disabilities to secure meaningful accommodations 1/12

I don't have a ton of folks to tell about this, but on Thursday I submitted my final chapter of my dissertation for review. There are still edits to be made, but boy does it feel good to be here, right now, in the small sliver of light peeking through a just-opened door.

Grieving the people, the land, the animals, the water, the air, and the plants affected by what was preventable. We need Indigenous traditional stewardship now.

When I saw Trump signed the executive order eliminating remote work for all federal employees and hearing the gleeful cheers of his supporters it just enraged me since it disregards the right to accommodations under the ADA. This is just the beginning

I NEED you to care about disability on your campus, because headlines are calling for people with disabilities to: lose access to education, lose access to heslthcare, lose access to welfare, be forcibly sterilized. 1/3
