A nice neat job by our team in Derby. The chimney breast had been affected by salts due to water ingress. Safeguard Europe Drybase Flex Membrane system was used to prevent salt contamination from damaging the new plasterwork/finishes. The cause of water ingress was also solved.

Got an extract fan? They need cleaning out often so as not to affect their performance. This image shows a fly screen from a grille covered in dust after 3 months. Fly screens alone will reduce the performance of a fan and even more so when it is dusty.

A physical damp proof course will rarely fail. Other defects can however compromise one such as plasterwork and floor screed bridging. No dpc needed here, just some repairs to the plasterwork and the physical dpc will be fully exposed and detailed correctly.
