It’s frustrating for club/society/casual golfers who see a frost cleared and a course that’s apparently ready for play to the untrained eye but this is a good explainer as to why a course may need to remain closed after an extended period of sub zero temperatures. Galway Bay Golf Resort

With no heavy frost this morning it can be difficult for golfers to understand why we keep our greens closed. We do so to protect them from damage caused by traffic on the surface during a partial thaw. See the video attached explaining the dangers. #greenkeeping
