After what has felt like the longest winter ever, we were delighted to welcome some sunshine this week and complete a full green and tee renovation. Be great to get that sand washed in now 😳😬🙈 #greenkeeping

Great work by the team today. 18 greens top dressed with 100 ton of sand , solid tined after and drag matted in fully. Just before the rain came down!!! Hopefully conditions allow us to complete Pot Seeding tomorrow

It has been an incredibly difficult few weeks/months with rain, cold, wind etc. Let’s hope this break in the weather is a sign of a change for the better ☀️☀️

It’s frustrating for club/society/casual golfers who see a frost cleared and a course that’s apparently ready for play to the untrained eye but this is a good explainer as to why a course may need to remain closed after an extended period of sub zero temperatures. Galway Bay Golf Resort

Starting out the year with a comprehensive soil analysis. This will help us make informed decisions going forward like, the need to hollow tine aerate versus solid tine. What nutrients we are deficient in, the nutrient holding capacity of root zone is,and much more #greenkeeping

As we continue to explore ways of reducing our impact on the environment at Galway Bay, we are currently trialing robotic mowers to maintain certain areas of the golf course. With the aim of lowering our carbon footprint Range King Ireland #greenkeeping
