So my advice to new parents is be very weary of breastfeeding đź””support!, it may well in fact be coercion to make sure you never abandon breastfeeding, no matter what. 10/

I think there needs to be a #WishIdKnown theme for #WorldBreastfeedingWeek… What do you wish you’d known? I wish I’d known before having my first child that #combifeeding was an option- & that it can be a good option for mental health & family life! #Infantfeeding

One of the sad ironies here is that international NGOs like UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO) need their credibility and skill in combatting misinformation in lots of big fights. Promoting vaccines, for instance. It's really time to tell the truth on breastfeeding.

.World Health Organization (WHO) can you tell me what are you doing for mums who are unable to breastfeed? Are you ensuring that they can afford formula? That they have access to clean water and sterilizing equipment? Because otherwise, you are not stepping up for parents and babies!

Sad to see World Health Organization (WHO) still putting out the debunked confidence myth of a prior era. In reality, most women report insufficient milk as a reason for adding or switching to formula. Telling them that their biological limits are in their heads is gaslighting & hurts institutional cred.

Infant Feeding Alliance Don't forget normalizing neonatal starvation signs like babies peeing pink uric acid crystals, not pooping for weeks, incessant crying, and losing double-digit percentages of their birthweights!

There is absolutely no justification for food banks to refuse to distribute infant food to families in poverty. @TrussellTrust thefelixproject FareShare - please revisit your policies during this time of a profound cost of living crisis. huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/baby-for…
