On 04.04.2024, officers of CCSI Airport Lucknow seized 2,12,400 sticks of Cigarettes valued at ₹36.11 Lacs from 5 pax arrived from Bangkok by flight No FD 146. The Cigarettes were recovered from the baggage of the pax.

Deartmenatal action has been taken against the officers found responsible in the matter of 29 offenders fled from CCSI Airport Lucknow. The remaining six accused has been arrested. CBIC Patna Customs (Prev) Zone PIB India

Over 14-16th May 2024, Member CBIC, Rajiv Talwar reviewed the Land Customs Stations located at Banbasa, Dharchula and Jhulaghat. These LCS are located along India-Nepal border in eastern Uttarakhand. Member was briefed on locations by officers of DRI, Customs & the SSB.

On 21.05.2024 officers of AIU LBSI Airport Varanasi seized 660.73 Gms of foreign origin gold valued at Rs 48.89 Lacs from a pax arrived from Sharjah by flight no IX-184. The gold in paste form was concealed in the rectum of the pax.

On 22.05.2024, officers of AIU Lucknow seized 803 gms of Foreign origin gold valued Rs. 59.43 Lacs Fram a pax arrived from Sharjah by flight 6E-1424 from Sharjah. The gold in paste form was concealed in the rectum of the pax.

On 26.05. 2024 officers of AIU CCSI Airport Lucknow seized 673.500 gms foreign origin gold valued at Rs. 48.15 Lacs from a pax arrived from Abu Dhabi by flight No 6E 1416. The gold in paste form was concealed in the rectum of the pax.

On 14.07.2024, officers of CCSI seized 408 Dandas of Cigarrette (Made in India){Gold Flake Honey Dew Smooth} valued at Rs. 13,87,000/- from 2 pax arriving from Bangkok by Flight No FD-146. Cigarrettes were recovered from their baggages. Further Investigation is under process.

On 18.10.2024 Lucknow Customs (P) conducted a special outreach programme on AEO Scheme with stake holders at ICD Kanpur. It was held to resolve the issues/ queries of stake holders. Trade appreciated the initiative taken by the Department.
