The extreme dry conditions here at the moment have meant harvest has stayed early. With 168mm of rain since planting and our annual rainfall 400mm behind normal the crops ha e been varied but managed well under the conditions.

A great few days at our autumn conference and celebrating the retirement of a highly respected colleague Phil Evans who has been our seed production manager in our Gisborne plant for the last 30 years.

Autumn is a good time to rectify compacted ground. This ground is 6 years out of trees and is this is the first time we have been able to tackle compaction as we have had to wait for the remaining tree roots to die down.
