Scott Laidlaw - along with Preston Pearson, Robert Newhouse and Doug Dennison - carried the rushing load for the Cowboys in the two years before Tony Dorsett’s arrival in ‘77. Loved those guys. RIP, Mr. Laidlaw.

Some of my earliest memories following pro basketball were listening to Spurs games on WOAI and Nuggets games on KOA. Already watched the first two episodes of this documentary series about the ABA and it’s outstanding.

He was 95, so I knew this day was coming soon. But it’s still a gut-punch. He convincingly portrayed so many great characters in some of my favorite movies. Also, a kind, well-respected man off the screen. 🙏
