A nice end to the month! Welcomed rainfall for the whole course, allowing the areas that we preventively treat bounce back very quickly. Great comments from members & visitors alike! And finally a nice award to mark our continued commitment to sustainability & our environment!

Another day closer to Final Qualifying but a lot of members golf to be played beforehand. Starts with the Summer Meeting tomorrow! Weather not looking like Summer tomorrow though ⚡️🤦‍♂️ #FridayFeeling

Temps are rising across the North West, so a welcomed tea break was made better by the gift for the greenstaff from a member, it’s much appreciated. Course set up complete with greens just getting a roll. Nice to see the orchids out in flower.

And so it begins! As players are competing in RQ The Open across the country, the build starts for FQ here West Lancs Golf Club Forecast looks decent at the minute as we start to put the final touches to the surfaces. Machines are going through the workshop with Arran Leach

Great description of our course Harris Kaplan and one we look forward to enhancing coming the next 4 autumns with the new plans delivered by Tom Mackenzie of Mackenzie & Ebert earlier this year. However a small matter of preparing for FQ The Open this weekend through to Tuesday!

Final practice The Open Royal Portrush G.C. set up this morning for the staff and again delivered. 2 tee start at 7am on this course is no mean feat. Massive thanks to our staff for their continued dedication but also to the volunteers that have come in to help out. 👌
