Rhododendron: What is it? And why do we need to eradicate it from Ireland. While Rhododendron may dazzle with its stunning blooms and is adored by many in Ireland, it’s an invasive species that poses a serious threat to our ecosystems.

Gutted for the NPWS team at Wild Nephin National Park. They built this trail with locals to make the park more accessible. It had become so popular. My department will be putting all possible resources into establishing who started the blaze. The loss of habitat is devastating.

Status Orange Wildfire warning‼️ There are too many forest fires in our parks. This has to stop. Enjoy nature and the good weather over the long weekend but please don’t light fires in National Parks, Nature Reserves, sand dunes, mountains, forests, meadows or urban parks.
