You think goods such as money, reputation, power, and pleasure will make you happy. They won’t. Happiness will never be the fleeting things of this world. Set your sights on higher things.

Doing what you’re told is not always doing the right thing.

For the past 7 years especially, it's been a constant and often predictable sequence of outrage narratives, carefully scripted and fed to the public to foment division and animosity. There is always something bigger going on that they are distracting attention away from. 🤔

Sobering experience of getting older is realizing you must take each person individually, that you can't rely on titles/credentials. You meet doctors who don't seem smart. Lawyers who can't argue. Myopic accountants. Should be obvious to everyone by now after virus.

Most of the places whose approval I once wanted I don’t approve of anymore. So it goes.

A small way to freeing up time and some money

The problem with civilization and affluence is they delude many into thinking the world is no longer a dangerous place.

An authoritarian society can be erected on the pretext of defending against almost any type of danger. Leave it to modern America to choose the threat of hurt feelings.

Shoutout to the blue collar men that sacrifice their time with their families and do the jobs most in today's society are unwilling to do. We owe our comfortable livelihoods to you. Our electricity, our running water, our air conditioning and heat, our internet...Thank you. ♡

Almost every great social experiment works fairly well once you eliminate the control groups, the baselines, and the past, adjust the language and lower expectations.
