How important is "purpose-driven retail" to customers/colleagues/members? Very according to retail champ Clare Bailey, speaking at #CoopRetail. #Coops

As a parent, I know that family life and work can often feel impossible to juggle. That's why I promised to make parents lives easier, and put more money in their pockets, with Labour's free breakfast clubs. Today, they start rolling out across the country.

Breathing space for parents. Better life chances for children. More money in your pocket. That's what free breakfast clubs mean for families across the country. That's what Labour's Plan for Change is delivering.

This policy made a real difference to me this week. On Monday I had an MRI scan after a wait of just 10 days, following a GP referral (no long wait to see a consultant). Impressive progress in 9 months after 14 years of Tory NHS cuts.

A vote for anyone but Labour risks more chaos under Farage and the Tories. The only way working people can secure change in your community is by voting Labour on Thursday 1 May.

Co-operatives have long helped to rebuild communities following conflict – but there's more they can do. Ask your MP to write to the new International Development Minister and recognise the power of co-operation in building a more peaceful world. party.coop/campaign/peace…

Everyone knows this to be true- just need a few more brave figures in public life to say the same. Brexit the 'stupidest thing any country has ever done' rte.ie/news/business/…

Err.. Reform UK is demonstrating itself to be far from the reforming force its name implies. Since winning power in several county councils in May it's shown itself uniquely unprepared for the task of governing with many councillors not turning up or even quitting office.

This is such a travesty of what happened that it takes my breath away. Anything to hit the Starmer government whatever the context, inherited roots of the scandal and the truth. Goodwin sinks to new lows - which in his heart he must know.

The most dangerous stat you’ll read today: “1 in 8 prisoners were born overseas” It’s being weaponised by far-right figures to stoke fear. But here’s the crucial detail they’re not telling you:

So now we know only 29% of people still support brexit. If you are one of the 29% - which tangible benefit of brexit are you most concerned about losing ?

A really important initiative by Co-operative Party which puts #coops values and principles into effect in a way communities can immediately benefit from.

Daily Mail say today we need Farage and Reform to save the country. A reminder of the role the Mail played in getting us into this mess.

While we’re talking about politicians and tax, a reminder that Nigel Farage works for a company that exists to help rich people avoid tax.
