Today Labour have been forced to make a panicked attempt to reassure the markets on the economic mess of their own making. But Rachel Reeves is missing in action - instead wheeling out her deputy to defend her loss of control of the public finances.

The Prime Minister has agreed the Isle of Wight ferry services aren't good enough at PMQs. Residents shouldn't rely on unregulated, debt-laden firms for essential travel. We are united on the Island and beyond, we need change. Kit Bradshaw Peter Henley BBC Hampshire & Isle of Wight

I could not agree more David Cameron. It’s outrageous that NHS England have removed dementia from its Planning Guidance & scrapped the diagnosis target - with Health Sec Wes Streeting's blessing. Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. We must get it back on the agenda for 2026.

The regular 'Beat Surgery' sessions continued in-store today at Morrisons' in Lake today with I Wight Police PCSO's May & Webb. We had a really positive conversation around local policing, including youth offenders', anti-social behaviour and the Public Space Protection Orders.

Affordable and reliable ferries are what we need. I am grateful to the Minister, Mike Kane MP, for his visit and for the Department for Transport commitment to look at pricing, timetabling a reliability data, along with socioeconomic impact locally.

Great to support Warren Whyte’s Conservatives campaign in Freshwater πŸ—³οΈ while visiting the family on the Isle of Wight this weekend! πŸ’™ Few places could be more beautiful for a delivery session than Freshwater Bay on a sunny Sunday! 🌞

This has to be up there as one of the worst interviews we’ve ever heard πŸ’€ Does she genuinely know nothing about her brief?

Today, the House of Commons will vote on my spiking amendment - to ban prank spiking (or spiking by a reckless act). Read my article in ConservativeHome setting out my case for this below πŸ‘‡ conservativehome.com/2025/06/17/joe…

The Labour Government have just blocked my attempt to make reckless spiking an offence. This leaves a gaping loophole in their new spiking law. Here is an example that shows why reckless spiking should be included πŸ‘‡

The Conservative Party believes the country should live within its means. This truth cannot be avoided. Keir Starmer doesn't know what he believes, so it is mistake after mistake, u-turn after u-turn. With no plan to get people into work, no plan to cut spending...no strategy.

Conservatives (@conservatives) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Keir Starmer’s so weak he was forced to turn a welfare-cutting bill into one that sent spending soaring. Only the Conservatives are serious about taking the tough decisions needed to deliver for Britain.

Pleased to see The Mirror reporting on our campaign to close the prank spiking loophole in the The Labour Party Government's Crime and Policing Bill. Nobody should get let off by claiming their reckless behaviour was "only a bit of fun." mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
