The contract #Haydn renegotiated with the Esterhazy family, signed and dated July 11, 1779. This agreement allowed him to write for others and sell his work to publishers, putting the once-impoverished freelancer on a path to becoming one of Europe's wealthiest musicians.

One of the many ways in which #Berlioz broke the mold was by including copious notes to the musicians that extended beyond the proper way perform his music to pre-emptive instructions on how to REHEARSE it. The attached note is on the 2nd(!) page of the Symphonie Fantastique:
