👻💀 A ghostly encounter in Brough Park… Metal detectorist Roger Turner found more than treasure that day—he saw a woman who looked like she’d stepped from a Victorian photo… and then vanished. All that remained? A rose-scented chill and a 1933 coin.

🐶🎪 Barlestone Fun Day was back with a bark! After years away, the fun day returned on 2nd August with stalls, games, a dog show that didn’t take itself too seriously, cake, tombolas & perfect weather to top it all off. Loads raised for charity, loads of smiles all round.

🦁🐘🦋 Wild things spotted in Ibstock! From jungle trails to giant butterflies, locals turned the village into a wildlife wonderland for the latest community trail. Kids dressed up, prizes were won, and the Palace Pith Helmet made a return!

🥾👏 Huge congrats to Ibstock School’s DofE students! Bronze and Silver award winners smashed expeditions across Derbyshire & the Peaks, with hours of volunteering, fitness, and skills work behind them. A credit to the school and the village!
