Proud to be a member of Community Union As someone who was self employed it was good to have a Union to represent us. I will continue to speak up for more rights for self employed in Parliament.

The Labour government is working hard to protect our steel industry here in Newport East and across the UK. At PMQs today I asked the Prime Minister to share with the House how the government is safeguarding jobs and securing the future of steel making communities like ours.

The hard work of steel unions & new UK Labour Govt has led to an improved MoU, which includes important concessions on skills & retention. It also commits Tata to further investment in Welsh steelmaking. Trade unionists will now vote on whether to accept this improved package.
