Educators, after one week of remote learning with my own kids, my reflections are: Slow down; ease up on the number of daily messages/updates (it’s tough to keep up); slim-down workload; be patient; STOP using grades as a threat. Show grace and flexibility.

April is #Poetry Month! Poetry is a wonderful way to work on #fluency. There is a lot of white space on the page, and it is not as intimidating to read as dense paragraphs. Record them so they can hear themselves read aloud. This will motivate them to want to improve. 1/2

#joco posted it’s 3rd highest COVID case count today (155) and has averaged 130 cases/day over the last 4 days. This is after averaging 90 cases/day over the last 2 weeks which was still considered a hit spot per WH. We’ve got to do better if we want schools to open!
