Mississippi State is saddened by the sudden loss of former assistant football coach Dave Nichol, who passed away at age 45 on Friday. Coach Nichol will always be a member of the Bulldog Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and all who knew and loved him.

5 years ago I coached Coach Karson Block at Louisiana. After that, he always stayed in touch. Last year he moved across the country to work here for free. He made it work for a while. Today I’m thankful to officially hire him for his first full time job! Congrats Buddy!
