Big favour to ask folks. Please can we get this shared far and wide. We are looking for a positive, forward thinking person to teach Ag in Cumbria. Don’t worry if you’re not a teacher. If it’s tickled your fancy before just give the team a shout. PLEASE SHARE

We used to house 200 plus cattle I wouldn’t have believed anyone that said anything else was possible… you couldn’t pay me to house a cow now Tried both ways 1100ft up in one of the wettest places in England with a short growing season, and still works

We have 5km of becks, every bit has potential to be a great nature habitat/improve water quality/mitigate flooding. Farming will be a big part of the solution if we think smarter 💪 Thanks 👍 ⁦Helena Horton⁩ ⁦Nature Friendly Farming Network⁩ ⁦Ullswater Catchment⁩ theguardian.com/environment/20…

The hidden cost of 'dredging'. Farmer 'A' up stream clears debris along a 'stretch' of his river, reducing flooding incidents there. The power and velocity of the water getting to Farmer 'B' downstream is eroding the bank at an alarming rate and causing his farm to shrink!

I’ve seen this on the film Loads of people don’t know this stuff - you can plant the right trees in a boggy field and have MORE grazeable grass afterwards than before We’ve found this with alders in rushy places it’s not trees OR food

Well done to Abi Kay for writing this. As an industry we’re often bad at holding a mirror up to our own faults. This is an important piece on an important issue. If this is a true reflection of some of the behaviour in NFYFC then it must change.
