Parents absolutely get to decide what books their kids read or don’t, but their jurisdiction doesn’t extend to other people’s children. Our family (and many others) wants our kids/grandkids to read accurate history and the rich stories of ALL of humanity. Leave our kids alone.

There's a difference between ‘reacting’ and ‘responding.’ A reaction is often unplanned and usually is off the cuff. A response on the other hand, is usually planned, thought out, and intentionally executed. Do your best to respond more than react.
