Satellite temperature data sets aren't the same as surface data. They average the lowest several kilometers of the atmosphere, and often show large delayed spikes from El Niño, as is likely here.

April 2024 in South Korea was exceptional:
With an average temperature of 14.9C and an anomaly of +2.8C vs 1991/2020 baseline, it was the WARMEST April on record.
North Korea had even higher anomalies (>+3C).
