Vice chancellors don’t educate students. Expense accounts don’t educate students. New buildings don’t education students. Our members are the backbone of the sector and we’re going to deliver them the deal they deserve. #ucuRISING

What shocks me about academics is how silent they are. Academia is great at theory (i.e., I believe in equity) but not always in practice (i.e., I'm going to stand up for equity). If you need someone to have your back, you might be in trouble. The courage isn't always there.

We won't get the pay we lost back, we won't get an apology from the university, or a thank you from the non striking colleagues whose pensions we saved, too. But for me the biggest loss is how I felt about my job before 2018 - I miss that every day.

This is so powerful. Students are finishing university with TBC instead of grades and staff are still receiving punitive salary deductions. The bosses could have ended this dispute well before graduations. This is all on you, UCEA. #ucuRISING
